Divisional Overview:

The Risk Management Division encompasses the firm's comprehensive risk framework responsible for determining and managing the overall risk appetite for the firm. The division is responsible for effectively managing the firm's risk-return profile which ensures the efficient deployment of the firm's capital. It is one of the firm's core competencies and is independent of the trading areas and operational areas.


The Risk Management Division in India comprises:

- Market Risk Management

- Credit Risk Management

- Quantitative Risk Management

- Operational Risk Management

- Data Integrity Group

Business Unit Overview:

Quantitative Risk Management- Model Validation:

The Model Validation Group is a global team which independently validates the integrity and

comprehensiveness of the models in the Firm. Due to the extension of the scope of the Model Risk

Management process, the Firm is seeking to recruit a member of the newly established Algorithmic

Trading Model Validation Group (ATMVG) directly reporting to the Head of ATMVG. The successful

candidate will have a strong quantitative background and will perform the independent validation of

Algorithmic Trading Models across a wide variety of asset classes / business lines.

Position Specifications:

Mandatory Desired Domain

- A minimum of 5 years working experience in a quantitative environment

- A postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (exceptions can be made for strong undergraduate degree holders)

- Established experience as a Model Developer or Model Validator for any financial model type(s)

- Practical knowledge of optimization and statistics

- Strong Model development skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple stakeholders and conflicting deadlines

- Familiarity with derivative pricing models across different asset classes

- PhD (or equivalent) in a quantitative discipline

- Some experience with machine learning

- The current role will specifically cover the following areas:

- Independent Validation of Algorithmic Trading Models

- Development and Execution of Model Performance Monitoring to ensure that Algorithmic Trading Models are performing as intended

- Implementation of Model Risk Control processes for Algorithmic Trading Models

- Model validation projects would involve

- Performing in depth model reviews for Algorithmic Trading Models and ensuring that the models meet their stated objectives

- Reviewing the theoretical assumptions and the implementation of the model e.g. setting up independent benchmarking tools for testing of various scenarios & boundary conditions for complex model

- Model Risk Analysis and quantification of model limitations

- Preparation of model review documentation
