Position Title Head - Quality, AREL Grade Senior Manager / AGM

Reporting to Head - Mfg. Ops. / Group Head - Quality

Brief Description of Job Responsibilities

 Responsible for QC / QA across product lines through

- Setting up quality systems, standards and policies & continuous improvement of the same

- Translation of the standards and quality systems into operational parameters and ensure compliance.

- Monitoring performance of products from design to field ( beyond warranty)

- Leading the teams in trouble shooting the problems both in product / process and arriving at the solutions from incoming materials to FG

- Association with - reliability- / - testing- teams in achieving zero defects

- Create & maintain MIS reports / statistical reports related to Quality

- Liaise across functions and levels in to enable a Quality Assurance Culture in the organization

 Interact with customers on process audits, product evaluation & customer complaints

- Ensuring effective implementation & maintenance of QMS resulting in robust process performance and consistent product quality and liaising with certifying bodies.

- Partnering with Supply Chain in Vendor evaluation / assessment to establish quality requirements from suppliers / vendors and providing inputs for improvements

- Effective implementation of PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA

- Driving continuous improvements culture through 5S, QCC, Kaizen, Six Sigma

Educational Qualifications:

Vital Desirable:

B.E./B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and communications - ME / M Tech / MS in Electronics

Experience Needed for the Position

Vital Desirable :

- Mimimum of 5 years in QA / Process Engg. in Electronics Manufacturing industry

- Manufacturing Experience in EMS /ESDM for at least 3 years

- At least 4 years of experience as internal auditor - ISO / EMS / TS

- Problem solving techniques Six Sigma -- Green Belt

- Rich working experience under ISO 9001, EMS ISO 14000 & TS16949 / IPC / ESD Standards

- Experience of being a Lead auditor for at least 2 years - ISO / EMS / TS

- manufacturing experience at least 2 years in PCB Assembly -- Automotive electronics / Medical Electronics / Defence Electronics

- QFD tool application for new product development for customers

- Experience in being a team member in NPD Process

- Six - Sigma black belt

- Working Knowledge on machines like 3D SPI & AOI, X Ray and BGA rework, Router, CT etc

- Experience/Exposure in EMS & OHSAS establishment and maintenance

Skills / Competencies Needed for the Position

Vital Desirable:

- Core Tools Like APQP,PPAP,FMEA,SPC and MSA, Poke yoke, SQC- 7 QC tools

- Knowledge on Process capability study and reliability

- Knowledge on SMT,, Wave soldering and PCB Assembly Module Assembly and ROHS
- SMT Machine programming, DOE for SMT and WS process, Machine Maintenance

- Lean- concepts

- DoE / reliability testing concepts
