Our client is a publicly listed, multiproduct Indian conglomerate with an annual turnover of over 4200cr with a multi-product portfolio spanning industrial chemicals, bulk, and specialty fertilizers, farming diagnostics and solutions, technical ammonium nitrate, mining services and consulting and value-added real estate. They currently have 4 manufacturing facilities and are establishing 4 other greenfield projects across India eyeing 2x turnover globally. They are looking for a Quality head for upcoming projects based out of Mumbai to manage the QA function for the new and upcoming projects pan India

Reporting into the President-Projects, you will be responsible for:

- Developing and installing appropriate QA system covering all operations of Project Sector.

- Ensuring that all products and services delivered by Project Sector meet laid down/promised quality standards.

- Developing and/or approving inspection plans for items/services ordered by third parties by the cleint

- Developing and administering systems to handle DCRs (design concession requests) and NCRs (non-conformity reports).

- Developing and administering a system for handling complaints from user depts. of the client including failure analysis.

- Ensuring that Quality Systems of EPCM/PMC/EPC/Construction contractors and vendors are aligned to client systems

- Being the custodian of all SOPs of Project Sector and implement an audit procedure with an aim of getting ISO certification.

- Establishing specific Quality Assurance (QA) plans for individual project sites in line with organization strategy, SOPs for Quality Assurance Activities across all projects, method statements for execution of activities at sites and achieving full compliance to organizations quality policies.

- Leading QA/QC Audits at a site and Quality Assurance team at the site.

Ideally, you are Chemical Engineer with an advanced quality assurance diploma course with 15+ years of experience in the field of Project QA in an EPC environment for chemical/petrochemical/ refinery units. You should have excellent knowledge of quality activities during projects stages and interdependence of input data from various disciplines/agencies. You should have Insight into working of all the disciplines (process, piping, instrumentation, civil, mechanical, electrical etc) and their interdependence. You should have good working knowledge of planning, engineering, Site construction, management of changes during project phase and a good knowledge of various national and international QA codes and practices. You should possess good communication skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills.
