Quality Head - IT (16-20 yrs)

Job Description:

To drive critical organization-wide functions like quality, innovation, admin, PMO, etc. across the various delivery & corporate divisions. As part of the India management board, collaborate with the heads of the other divisions to drive organizational plans.

To direct the organizational management division towards meeting its goals, setting its structure, strategy, staff, systems and resources required to meet plans.

To ensure that the India shared services continuously improves the service offering to through proactive and continuous improvements. To build the customers confidence in the client service offering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Define the organizational quality strategy across IT, ITeS & corporate functions

- Define & Baseline the quality KPIs and benchmark against industry standards

- Drive quality as a culture in the organization so that it is imbibed by all employees in their daily work.

- Monitor & Report the organization quality dashboard to the board

- Managing the organizational quality accreditations like ISO 9001, CMMi, etc.

- Suggest action plans for divisions to implement as part of the continuous improvements

- Drive innovation for the India organization and also contribute towards the global initiatives

- Responsible for managing the organizational initiatives decided by the management board.

- Measure and monitor customer satisfaction and proactively execute improvement plans.

- Establish methods to achieve cost and operational efficiency.

- Plan and control the apportioned budget in line with corporate guidelines.

- Responsible for actions from corporate plan and tactical and strategic initiatives arising from the corporate plan or special events.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant compliance rule books and codes of practices.

- Manage the organizational teams like the admin & PMO function across Pune & Trivandrum locations.

People Management:

- Effectively lead the Associate Directors, Group Project Managers, and Architects in the day to day management.

- Establish, develop and enhance one competency area.

- Establish methods for knowledge management and skills enhancement.

- Establish proper recruitment, pyramid management, training and retention strategies.

- Establish proper performance management and rewarding mechanisms.

- Responsible for all resources within the respective group, their optimal utilisation and professional development.

- Personnel management and active development of the leadership skills of direct reports.

- Assist in the design and implementation of staff development plans which provide sufficient motivation and reward while delivering business targets.

- Work with corporate HR in all relevant initiatives.

Qualifications

- Graduation in Engineering / Sciences / Management

- Preferred: Certifications in quality management, six-sigma/OPEX, project management, etc.

- Domain: BFSI or manufacturing domain

- Rich experience in driving quality standards, accreditations, continuous improvements, organizational quality dashboards, innovation, etc. in IT and/or ITeS services.

- Preferred: Experience in managing admin & PMO teams.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in Quality management in reputed organisations with 16+ years of relevant experience. The candidate should have technically strong and rich development experience with the ability to drive the teams from a quality perspective. She/he should bring in strong and specialist operational leadership; process orientation and experience in implementation of standardized concepts. She/he will drive productivity improvements by clear target setting on local level and innovation in winning hearts and minds of team while enforcing local leadership.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated leadership - with a focus on results, human resources and organization development, performance management and change management and will need to provide proactive, positive coaching and development to the team. She/he will also have a strong commercial bent-of-mind but focussed on customer satisfaction and employee engagement

The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills in growing a business and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Interpersonal skills would need to be of a high order with the ability to organize, inspire, motivate and lead a diverse team in the business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a matrix environment.
