Quality Head - Food & Beverage Organization (10-15 yrs)
Our client is a young and entrepreneurial brand of cold-pressed fruit juice with a strong focus on quality and cutting-edge technology right from sourcing to research to production. They have grown significantly in their first phase of business from 5 cr to 250 cr in 42 months. They are looking to expand their production footprint globally and introduce new product categories in the health food market. They are currently looking for a highly motivated and passionate Head of Quality based out of their Mumbai suburb factory
Managing an overall team of 20 quality professionals and reporting into the COO and a dotted line reporting to the Founder, as a Head of Quality you will be responsible for:
- Manage and control all plant compliance issues including Food, Plant and Labour related compliances.
- Controlling production and quality standards - Oversee and lead Quality Assurance and Quality Audits of Plant and Raw Materials.
Investigating:
- Appropriate materials and production processes and setting standards for quality and health and safety
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both national and International level.
- Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications
- Lead the process for supplier selection and ensuring that supplier relationships are maintained and strengthened over a period of time
- Overseeing the execution of all contracts signed between the Business and the supplier in collaboration with Procurement and Legal Team
- Inducted stock track management process in reducing inventory shrinkage and expiration.
- Designing, Coaching and Implementing Lean/Six Sigma process improvement programs by identifying opportunities to improve business performance in all dimensions.
Ideally, you have Bachelors/Masters/Diploma/Engineering in Food Technology or Food Science and have 10+ years of experience in the industry under the Quality Function. You should have in-depth knowledge of Food Auditing, Factory Standards, Quality Certifications and Compliance and should be familiar with SAP and will be preferred if you have Six Sigma/TQM/Greenbelt certification. You should be proactive, ready to work effectively under high pressure and should be comfortable with 24- 7 operations. You should have demonstrated the excellent track record in your past roles and should be ready for the next challenging role in a growing organization.
