Job Profiles of Quality & Safety Head

- Reporting Authority: Project Head

Primary functions:

QA/QC

- Review and comment Contractor's Quality Plan as per contract requirement.

- Responsible for Quality of the products and services in each Project Stage: i.e.,

TENDER, DESIGN & ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT, CONSTRUCTION, COMMISSIONING

- Perform systematic investigation of both the implementation and effectiveness of the Project Quality Plan for various Contracts. This shall be executed by a formal schedule of Internal/External Audits.

- If Non-Compliance is observed either during an Audit, site surveillance, or other activity. Review and monitor details of Non Conformances and Corrective Action by Contractor.

- Ensure, during the various Project phases control of documentation shall be exercised at the appropriate level by the Contractor as well as the Company.

- Evaluate and define the actual Project required documentation, identified as essential and appropriate to each project phase.

- Ensure procurement policies, procedures and instructions are effectively and systematically carried out.

- Ensure Contractor shall state the controls and systems that will be implemented to ensure that construction, material, parts and equipment are in compliance with the precise Project Requirements and Specifications.

- Prepare and implement works inspections forms for various activities i.e. construction, plant, equipment. Materials etc..

- Ensure inspections/tests and approvals and/or acceptance fully compliance with the Project Specification, good manufacturing practices and to prove that all materials, parts, equipment and work are suitable for the duties they are intended to perform.

- Review/audit CONTRACTORS inspection arrangements and systems taking into account the requirements.

HSE

- Responsible to enforce and the implementation of health, safety and environmental regulations at Project.

- Organize safety inspections, prepare site safety meetings at different timings and levels and organize training sessions on safety with different levels of supervision and execution team. Job Profiles of Quality & Safety Head

- Organize quarterly formal safety inspection and record the findings and rate the area in discussion with the inspection team. He will present the results to the Project Manager.

- Compile monthly safety statistical report and submit the report to the Project Manager each month.

- Deal with emergencies and monitoring of quality records for safety and fire prevention equipment.

- Advise Contractor and Management on all Health and Safety aspects and changes of statutory safety requirements and ordinances and propose safety measures that help reduce accident rates.

- Closely monitor Health & Safety environmental activities of all work sites.

- Collects all accidents / incidents and other reports from sites and make meaningful inputs to identify the trends and help risk analyses and avoid reoccurrence of such accidents/incidents in future.

- Conducts periodic safety audits and routinely visits and conduct Safety meetings regularly.

- Enforce the site security system and monitor them regularly.

- Monitor the activity of the site medical attendant and advice them in accordance with health, safety and environmental procedures.

- Review and approve all risk assessments and health & safety method statements in accordance with the Health, safety and environmental procedures.

Qualification & Experiance

- BE Civil

- 12 to 15 Years of relevant experience

Specific skills & Knowledge:

- Experience in Real estate, experience in hi rise residential / commercial buildings

- ISO quality audit certification is an added advantage

- Good knowledge about local and international construction practice

- High proficiency in computer applications and ERP procedures

- Good communication skills
