Role & Responsibilities of a Warehouse - Sr.Manager: - Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed Business Plan. - Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for Warehouse Managers for multiple warehouses - Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds warehouse management team accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. - Leverages the Warehouse and Assistant Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area. - Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among all warehouses - Works closely with support staff and other departments of the supply chain (HR Manager, Finance, Sourcing and Inventory team, CS and Logistics team) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives - Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area - Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions, to Head Office Management rain and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals - Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations Basic Qualifications: - BE/B.Tech Engineering from a reputed university, Operations or related field. -10-15 years Operations Management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environment Ability - Direct team management experience and experience of having handled multi-warehouse set up - Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment - Strong Analytical skills: Effectively analyze and interpret information, identifying & validating the key facts, including reviewing alternatives to determine advantages and associated risks. - Excel skills required. - Excellent problem-solving skills
