Position: PURCHASING / REGIONAL DELIVERY BUYER Location: Pune Qualification: B. Tech/B.E Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities - Identifies and scouts technologies, supplier partners who meet criteria and ensures that they are on boarded in a timely manner. - Complete RfQ management, negotiation, cost down and improvement activities, VAVE activities - Works with supplier and internal buying teams to achieve the correct India cost and to meet JLR cost targets - Participate in cost events, modules team meetings and other project related meetings to ensure projects are delivery in a timely and cost effective manner - Plans and controls the efficient and timely flow of parts from regional parts suppliers to the India CFS - Promotes strong company/supplier relationships and develops robust techniques to improve supplier performance - Ensure supply / part availability for all engineering changes and new model programme actions through close monitoring of supply plans and parts delivery timing - Ensures that obsolescence liability is minimized by working closely engineering and programme teams. - Engineering Change Control Team and the materials Handling Team - Supports new model introduction through MRD tracking and follow-up actions - Monitor Key performance Indicators (KPIs) to support Supplier scorecard objectives and the work group level operations - Maintain and drive a work group board to support the Company Policy Deployment process - React in a timely manner with appropriate containment actions, identify root cause and drive permanent solutions in support with STA function - Ensures that key Department business documentation and reports are prepared, updated and appropriately distributed to meet deadlines. - Support supplier resourcing actions to ensure continuity of supply and engage in buying/resourcing process. - React in a timely manner to all issues with appropriate containment actions - Highlight opportunities for optimizing and improving program. - Red flag issues and Initiate, follow an escalation matrix. - Execute daily departmental records maintenance and filing tasks as supporting evidence for auditors. - Carry out ad hoc requests as required. - The role will require 5 days working but may require to work outside of working days/hours to meet the job demands.
