ROLE TITLE: Purchase Manager

Location: Bangalore (Bidadi)

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

- Manage and supervise all function for purchase department

- Handing all kind of project requirement and timely procurement for the respective unit.

- Responsible for finalizing the rates for major items affecting the project cost.

- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies to enhance team performance.

- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.

- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.

- Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.

- Designing and implementing training modules to develop new recruits into professionals.

- Vendor development and Vendor management develop strong win/ win relationships with suppliers.

- Manage and supervise import & export activities

- Ensure completely governance of statutory compliances pertaining to import & export

- Regular co-ordination with Accounts & Finance for vendor payments.

- Preparing timely reports for monitoring team performance; guiding team members to inculcate in them the art of best practices of purchase and vendor management.

- Coordination with production planning on sourcing raw materials

- Store/warehouse management

- Responsible for purchase budgeting.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Overall 15+ years of experience

- Should be from an auto ancillary manufacturing background

- Should have managed end to end function of the purchase department

- Should have good knowledge & exposure to Import & Export management

- Should be an experienced team manager

- Should have good negotiation and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION:

- BE/BTech with specialization in Mechanical
