Purchase Head - MNC Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Major (12-17 yrs)
Responsibilities:
For a purchase head the responsibilities will be :
- To develop and execute the purchasing strategy
- To Negotiate and finalize contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
- To build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
- To conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
- Monitor the global trends of raw materials & input materials & strategize procurement plans
- Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
- Partner with various stakeholders to ensure clear requirements, documentation and smooth functioning
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Reviewing and correcting critical parameters relating to purchases using relevant BI/BO dashboards.
- Train and supervise the work of team members
Critical Skills/Attributes:
Functional: The person must be skilled at :
- Handling purchase of above 1500 Cr.
- Managing material procurement for multiple locations
- Should have in-depth knowledge of imports and dealing with oversees suppliers, conversant with import rules and regulations including licenses
- Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
Education :
- BE/B.tech or ME/M.Tech with MBA in Operations Management
From any - Process / Manufacturing industry
Working on SAP Platform is a mandatory.
