Purchase Head

Requirement :

- Candidates well experienced in Purchase, Procurement, Supply planning

- Working experience Raw Material and Packing Material (RM/PM)

- Team handling/management

- Should be from a Nutraceuticals / Pharma company OR handling Pharma clients

- Import Knowledge or experience would be an add advantage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Supply planning for Nutra trials, final production and distribution planning to support new product launches.

- Supply planning of Nutra Raw Materials & Packaging Materials in coordination with the vendors (both local & imported) to support production requirements by meeting agreed inventory norms.

- New vendor identification (both local & imported) and development to support Nutra Strategy.

- Vendor Quality Management: Coordination with vendors for resolution of supplies issues regarding raw materials and packaging materials quality.

- Prepare annual budgets for the category.

Key Activities to be performed :

- Supply planning for Nutra trials, final production and distribution planning to support new product launches.

- Daily/weekly review of purchase requests generated by SAP.

- The Purchases of RM/ PM should be made from Approved Vendors only.

- To ensure that all Purchase Requests are converted to Purchase Orders on daily basis

- Negotiation with vendors / suppliers / contractors

- In case of Revision of Price, check the new price from all angles, prepare self-costing discuss with various vendors, Prepare Price Intimation for approval of Seniors

Keeping track of purchase plan and receipt of material :

- To keep an eye on material planned and material ordered.

- To take action in case of delayed supplies, rejections such as arranging the material from other approved sources

- To undertake vendor development program and compliance to multi-vendor approach.

- To take necessary actions in case of defaulter vendors.

- To maintain guidelines from Internal Auditors, Purchase Guidelines and MIS

- To close Purchase Orders at pre decided interval.

- To provide on the job coaching / instructions / guidance to vendors whenever required.

Functional :

- Extensive knowledge about Nutraceuticals/ Pharma markets from purchase perspective

- Good conceptual clarity of users requirements

- In depth Knowledge of pricing

- Good knowledge about Inventory Management/ Stores Management

- Computer proficiency in SAP

- Knowledge about Logistics Management
