Puma - Manager/Senior Manager - Human Resources (8-10 yrs)

BASIC FUNCTION:

As Manager-HR, you will drive the people strategy for the organization and be the custodian of the organization culture

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The role reports to the Head - Human Resources and works closely with Retail HR Team and other functional heads. It has reporting from 1-2 people

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Talent Management, Retention and Succession Planning

- Drive and implement the Performance Management calendar - Setting of objectives, mid term and annual evaluations

- Implement Global performance management tools

- Develop and implement measurement tools to track retention and development of top talent

- Key position identification wrt succession planning

Training and Development :

- Assess generic training needs for the organization

- Develop and implement training modules through internal global resources or external trainers

Induction and Onboarding:

- Drive the induction and onboarding program for new joinees to ensure they fit in well and at all levels - culturally, socially and in terms of business needs

- Support the new joinees in completing all onboarding formalities as per the statutory requirements

- Keep employee files updated with proper documentation

- Develop and implement orientation programs for new joinees at regular intervals

- Regular feedback sessions with new joinees

Employee Engagement:

- Create and drive employee engagement initiatives inline with the brand philosophy and principles

- Develop, maintain, update and communicate the employee engagement calendar

- Drive the brand culture across all offices and locations through engagement at regional and local levels

- Identify and drive external surveys (like GPTW) which are inline with the brand's business and people philosophy

Compensation and Payroll Management:

- Develop strategic compensation plans, align performance management systems with compensation structure and monitor negotiations for group health care benefits and other benefits and entitlements

- Budgeting and planning

- Ownership of monthly payroll, control and supervision

HR Policies:

- Evaluate and improvise HR Policies in line with the business and organization requirements, statutory requirements and labour laws

- Maintain the HR handbook with relevant updates.

Statutory Compliance and Labour Laws:

- Adherance to all statutory compliance towards compensation structure, benefits, entitlements and other laws pertaining to employees

- Working with auditors and ensuring proper record keeping for auditing and statutory purposes

Recruitment:

- Planning and budgeting to have a roadmap for recruitment assignments and end to end responsibility of hiring

- Identify new/updated tools of recruitment as per the changing business needs and periodic review to ensure suitability and relevance

- Manage employer branding on intranet and internet

- Drive internship program. Identify select colleges and work with functional managers to give out projects. Review of internees with the functional managers and identify talent for placement offers

HR Policies, Employee Safety, Welfare and Wellness:

- Provide assistance to employees to understand company policies and procedures

- Explain benefits and entitlements and take periodic sessions to disseminate information in case there are any statutory changes

- Supervise employee medical insurance scheme and serve as a liaison between the employees and insurance carriers

- Coordinate employee exit process - organize exit interviews and exit documentation, coordinate retention talks with managers, if required

HR Communication

- Maintain Organisation structure file and keep it updated. Disseminate as required

- Have an updated repository of JDs for all roles in the organization along with measurable performance indicators for each role.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Post Graduate with 8-10 years of experience as HR Generalist/HR Business Partner

- Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work with cross functional teams
