Role Purpose : - To ensure Procurement has the systems and fully uses these systems to automate key processes in the budget to the source, source to contract and contract to pay processes - To review and develop all procurement processes and policies; includes defining the processes, documenting them, training them to staff - Continually analyze processes and workloads to drive efficiencies across procurement operations - Act as the first line of support for systems to procurement staff around the world - Manage relationships with suppliers/vendors of procurement tools. Key Responsibilities: Create and deliver the systems roadmap for procurement processes - Develop a roadmap for systems for procurement that are cost effective and high impact - Include developments in Contract to pay processes using Puma's core ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics) as well as standalone systems for Source to contract and budget to contract such as data analysis and e-sourcing - Ensure clear business cases exist for any investments with agreed returns - Measure and ensure the usage of systems across the function and that the expected return is delivered - Manage the definition, creation, purchase, and implementation of systems working hand in hand with the procurement leadership and the IT function Processes : - Agree and map the processes required for effective strategic procurement and procurement operations - Includes reviewing procurement policies and controls working closely with internal risk and audit functions - Work with the procurement leadership team to define and roll out changes to existing and brand new processes - Understand the capabilities and competencies needed to adopt a new process and adapt change management approach appropriately to enable the successful implementation of processes Workload planning: - Analyse procurement operational workloads on the Contract to Pay process with robust facts and data - Provide constructive challenge to regional procurement operations leads on how to drive efficient ways of working balancing functional procurement workloads with geographic requirements - Create and manage the roadmap for efficient workload planning and implementation over a three-year horizon - Explore options for how to pursue efficient ways of working Policies and controls: - Work with Procurement leadership team to ensure policies and controls are fit for purpose, documented and communicated across Puma - Represent procurement to internal controls and risk teams and work together with them to refine policies and controls to be fit for purpose - Establish ways and means of communicating changes to policies and controls to the procurement function and business at large Training and developing teams : - Through interactions with procurement team across the globe, coach teams on using the systems and getting the best out of the systems - Train teams on new process and systems using virtual communications methods Experience: - Degree with a further qualification in Procurement/ Supply chain / Business Management - At least 8+ years in procurement in major multinational companies - Deep demonstrable knowledge and understanding of both strategic and operational procurement processes - Demonstrable experience of working successfully Cross country and with multiple P&amp;L's / business units - Demonstrable excellent communication skills and experience of systems business requirements creation and working closely with IT function - Has delivered function wide change management Skills: - Commercial outlook focused on business outcomes - Training and coaching staff on systems implementation and change management - Highly skilled in business English, able to covey, in writing, complex process, and policies in a straightforward manner - Excellent presentation creation skills, using MS PowerPoint - Has the skills to get the best out of people as the role relies on others to complete their own work - Able to work across multiple time zones and business cultures around the world Competencies: - Team player - People orientated as much as process-oriented - Curious and open to learn - Able to connect with people across continents - Structured and highly organized - High energy and desire to make an impact rolls up sleeves to ensure delivery of plans Key Relationships: - Internal - All procurement staff across Puma; - Supports Global Head, Regional Heads, and Procurement Operations regional leads. - IT function for work on systems - External vendors: of procurement systems create and deliver the systems roadmap for procurement processes.
