Main Purpose :

Accounting function and Balance Sheet management

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting :

- Responsible for Accounting at Puma Group level & Consolidation Accounting in IFRS

- Monitor the consistency of the P&L segmentation and following the corrections

- Analyse the statistical data, off BS information uploaded by the countries, ensure accuracy and follow the changes if needed.

- Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance Projects as assigned by Management

- In charge on all the daily accounting matters including posting journals, posting accruals, reviewing depreciation, ensuring clearing of account is done

- Prepare financial reports such as:

Group Balance Sheet in IFRS :

- Account Consolidation,

- T tables,

- Consolidation of Tangible and Intangible

- Review and maintain Assets Debtor and Creditor lists.

Key IFRS16 responsibilities :

- Update the ERP system with any changes in contracts, Interest, CPI etc,

- Provide to each country the monthly impact of the IFR|S16 before is posted in the ERP or EPM

- Run the ETL files in order to post the corresponding Journals

- Follow the reconciliation of the IFRS16 impact

- Maintain the system in terms of new business new accounts new users etc.

Key HFM responsibilities

- A deep understanding of Hyperion Reporting products

- Ability to manage user security roles and access

- Experience in creating and maintaining workflows for Hyperion

- Ability to create and update existing calc scripts, business rules, web forms, and reports

- Create and maintain financial reports

- Manage the Chart of Accounts (COA) setup and supporting the integration of acquisitions (both the company's and the inherited systems)

- Understanding of corporate business processes, including fundamental Finance concepts as well as forecasting and budgeting cycles, and corporate reporting requirements

- Experience in ensuring data accuracy and integrity

- Understanding of best practices for business processes and technology

- Advanced analytical, diagnostic and technical skills

- Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.

- Maintains database and backing up data

Audit Review

- Support independent audits; provide all necessary information for compliance on deadlines. Work closely with independent auditors during and preparing schedules for the annual audit. Revise the computation of employment termination payments.

- Preparation of the Group Annual Financial Report including financial statements, notes, supporting schedules, transmittal letter and statistical information.

Tax - Accounting, Reporting & Working Capital

- Accurately review the Group monthly tax computations & ensure HFM validation as per agreed deadline

- Ensure correct monthly accounting of VAT & other taxes in Group accounts (including tax provisions, WHT, petroleum tax levies, etc) in countries and provide feedback to regional tax team on the necessary reconciliations.

Experience

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong accounting, IFRS Consolidation, and balance sheet management experience

- Prior experience in corporation tax practices and accounting (atleast 6-8 years of relevant experience)

- Strong understanding and working knowledge of IFRS standards

- Business-minded orientated is a plus

- Demonstrable numerical Skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information

- Microsoft Office proficient

Reporting Structure

- Head, Finance and Accounting (line management)

- Global Consolidation Manager (functional management)
