Manager: Controller (Financial Planning & Analysis) - (8-12 Years)

Main Purpose : 

Focus on all controlling matters of the organization covering a number of African countries and entities.

Key Responsibilities: 

Reporting of the results : 

- Controller is in charge of all the reporting matter in term of quality, explanation and timing

- Controller is in charge of driving the reporting processes of the group

- Controller is in charge of all the P&L elements reported and ensure the accuracy of it

- Focus on providing quality information to the Business with proper explanation for all the elements of the P&L

- Review of monthly stock reports

- Explain the figures provided in the different report

- Drive ad-hoc analysis asked by the business in complement

- Challenge the different aspect of the business

- Propose new actions to the business in order to be more efficient

- Ensure quality business review is prepared on monthly basis.

Budget and Plan: 

- Ensure that the guidance provided by the group regarding plan and budget is applied to the countries

- Drive the quality of the information provided by the countries

- Challenge the business on the assumption taken

- Compile information received and load figures in the system (Hyperion)

- Prepare the consolidated Sub - Regional business review

Investment review: 

- Controller is part of the review of projects prior its approval as per DOA

- Ensure all the elements of the investment are making sense including Cash Flow, IRR, etc

- Ensure accuracy of the Capex report in term of actual but also in term of forecast

Ad-hoc : 

- Participate to the Balance Sheet review on a monthly basis

- Provide reports/recommendation to management on any control issues.

- Ensure that the company's control framework is effective and fit for purpose and that it is aligned to the Group's Control framework

- Right hand of the FM

Experience : 

- Qualified accountant (ICAI) with 8-10 yrs strong accounting and controlling experience linking business and finance

- People Management Skills

- Business orientated with experience in the Oil Downstream industry

- Understanding of financial stock management is a plus ( Average, FIFO, LIFO, etc )

- Understanding of IFRS standards

- Understand FX movements

- Demonstrable numeracy Skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information

- Microsoft Office proficient

- Experience on consolidation and reporting systems will be an added advantage (NAVISION, Hyperion and Qlikview)
