Puma Energy - Investment Analyst Key Relationships : Puma Future Energies Executive Team, Project Team Puma Legal and Puma Tax teams Job Summary : Investment Analyst position represents an opportunity to play a key role in a growing team with a focus on sourcing, analyzing the investment portfolio. Key Responsibilities : - Assisting in targeting and evaluating new investment opportunities - Assess potential investments through financial modeling and company/industry research - Understanding factors affecting project economics including Legal and Tax due diligence - Assist in preparing investment committee materials, customer proposals and other transaction documents - Monitor and assist in the management of existing portfolio and project databases - Assist in market research to build investment cases Experience : - Candidates will possess 3+ years experience in Investment Banking / Private Equity/Transaction Services/Financial Modelling teams - Sector experience (Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Energy & Utilities) is preferable - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Familiarity with programming (e.g., VBA, Matlab, Python) and database systems are advantages Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/ Competencies : - Excellent financial acumen, CFA qualification / MBA in Finance considered advantageous - Previous experience of working in the renewables sector with an in-depth knowledge and skillset in renewables cash-flow modelling and debt modelling preferred - Experience of devising and implementing business / commercial strategies involving quantitative analysis, conceptualization and communication of strategic solutions - Possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong team ethic - High level of agility, eager to develop new skills and areas of expertise - Superior problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in a demanding environment - Proactive, commercial, smart and not interested in bureaucracy - Ability to travel
