- Strategy : Implementing appropriate strategies for the websites, m-sites, and apps. Develop and maintain SEO strategic roadmap on content creation, linking and distribution. Create and/or modify the existing technical architecture to achieve desired growth rates for quality traffic. Develop plans for both offsite and onsite activities and also the interactions that build ranking, profile, and traffic. - Research : Perform technical SEO audits, backlink analysis, content analysis and opportunity identification. Reviewing the business's content on a regular basis in an attempt to identify opportunities. - Innovation : Gathering new SEO skills that will give the company a competitive edge by effectively maintaining high search rankings and promoting organic visits over the competition. Oversee the research of best practices, popular keywords, and other useful metrics. - Analytics : Conduct SEO analyses for trends using tools such as SEOMoz, SemRush, Omniture, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Webmaster tools, Buzzstream and Others. Building reports using Excel as well as reporting/dashboarding tools. - Communication : Communicate SEO plan with the head of Marketing, Technology, Product, Content and Business Heads to oversee the follow-through of these plans with all teams Experience : - Minimum four years- experience in a top consumer internet company and have personally led/handled a minimum scale of &gt;5 Million organic visits per month. - Experience in heading an SEO department with proven track-record in driving organic traffic growth for one/ more of the large internet/ e-commerce companies cutting across web, mSite, and Apps. - Candidate should be exceptional at on-page &amp; off-page optimisation, Keyword research and tracking and Competition analysis. Should be technically proficient &amp; understand tech details right from site architecture to webmaster tools. Desired Skills : - A high degree of data orientation is needed. Candidate should have the ability to work closely with engineering/product teams. - Candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, flair for numbers, and strong data crunching ability. - Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere is a must. - Candidate should be able to keep the bigger picture in mind while effectively managing detail.
