Software Development Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- As the project manager, you are responsible for successfully completing your project on time, within budget, and at par with the agreed standards.

- Planning out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance.

- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

- Participating in and supervising each stage of the project.

- Ensuring the project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.

- Creating a project budget and ensuring the project adheres to the budget as closely as possible.

- Determining and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all software components in all stages of completion.

- Tracking milestones, deliverables, and change requests.

- Serving as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.

- Delivering completed software products and performing regular checks on the products' performance.

- Code management and version control.

- Look for ways to improve operations, aim to do things better, faster, and cheaper whenever possible but without sacrificing quality.

- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

- Report and escalate to management as needed

- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

- Ensure comprehensive project documentation

- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

Responsibilities:

- Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques.

- Excellent technical knowledge in Microsoft and latest development technologies.

- Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.

- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

- As good listener and speaker.

- Good Leadership skills - Take control of the project and resources, direct others, delegate, motivate and boost morale and solve problems.

- Good Organization skills

- Attention to detail - Not allowing things to slip through the cracks which derail progress and cost additional money and time

- Multitasking and prioritizing skills

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's/Master's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.

- Certification in project management methodology like PMP.

- 18+ years of software development experience with a minimum of 8 years proven working experience in project management.

- Proven experience in project management and software development.

- Must have managed at least one software project independently of the size of USD 2M (INR 15 Crore)

- Experience in managing enterprise application development projects with Microsoft Technology Stack (.NET, SharePoint, Azure etc.)

- Strong technical background (experience in .NET is an asset)

- Proven track record managing technical software projects
