Position Title: Project Manager

Job Location - Manesar

Department: R & D

Minimum Experience Required: 6-10 Years of Experience in the Automotive Industry

Min 3 years of experience in product Development Customer direct Interface preferred.

Main Purpose of the Role:

Prove the Project management KPI Targets time, costs, quality and performance objectives. Control progress, identify defects and variations between plans and realization, managing the subsequent risks and promoting the actions necessary for their mitigation.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all project management activities to support internal and external customers.

2. Manage product development work packages throughout the course of the project.

3. Serve as primary contact/liaison to customer with regards to all product development related topics; identify information/data and resources needed by customer, and ensure timely transfer of such information between appropriate department/team and the customer.

4. Present project progress with regards to product development to the customer and internal management.

5. Work with engineering teams (design, test, controls and resident) and global R&D, in addition to other departments such as purchasing, quality, and sales, in order to support business development, capacity, and continuity.

6. Plan, manage and release product configuration levels in cooperation with the extended project team.

7. Manage prototype builds and ensure adherence to Timeline, customer design requests and Changes.

8. Ensure product maturity targets are achieved as well as all product development-related project objectives (i.e. customer requirements, timing & cost budget).

9. Facilitate/conduct project meetings regularly in conjunction with core team, support staff, and managers, and discuss updates on assigned tasks and project targets and milestones.

10. Compile technical customer requirements and ensure customer buy-in and agreement.

11. Create product specifications together with R&D/ Product Development departments.

12. Ensure effective change management process with respect to cost analysis and engineering change implications (i.e. quotations, validations, timing, communications to affected departments/groups).

13. Develop project plans (MS Project) and update metrics to track and report the status of the project to management as well as customer representatives.

14. Prepare for and present status of product development work packages at project gate reviews (including corrective actions if necessary).

15. Compile and document all lessons learned from the project.

16. Support risk management activities and ensure the effective hand-off of any open points/issues.

17. Participate in the development and continuous improvement of departmental guidelines and procedures.

18. Ensure departmental compliance with all TS16949 requirements, policies, and PMO directives to Perform other duties as assigned.
