Project Manager - Construction Management

Project Manager - BE/ Mechanical for Bangalore Location

Main Responsibilities and tasks:

Program Management of various projects across different locations across world

- Would be responsible & Coordinates the life cycle of those projects

- Supports - Design and  Electrical + Automation Engineering teams for pre-engineering & engineering

- Supports Procurement team

- Directly manages projects with the support of Site team & Project Management Companies depending upon the size and complexities of project .

- Guides management on local conditions, business environment, cultural expectations/issues, permitting in new Country / Geography

- Liaises with local government authorities with or without support of local partner / team.

- Ensures that the projects assigned are performed correctly in terms of customer satisfaction, technical aspects but also all other aspects (safety, legal, environment,), time schedule, budget and are in accordance with the company standards meaning:

- Project management: Ensures that the PM / CM & PMC in charge of the project is respecting all aspects of the project. To anticipate possible problems and to take corrective action before problems happen

- Budget and schedule: Ensures that site team implements strict project and financial control. Monthly monitoring of all projects with site team & TFL management remains key responsibility

- Project control : Ensures that regular Project progress reports are received in timely manner from Site team and communicate the critical items to management

- Risk management : Works with site team to identify the risks & develop the risk management strategy for the project

- Procurement: Reviews the recommendation of Site Team / Engineering & procurement. As per need, gets involved in key discussion & supports the team for finalizing the most suitable vendor.

- Safety : Very closely monitors the implementation of TFL Safety policy at all sites by site management.

Experience :

- Around 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Industrial Project and Construction Management out of which minimum 5 years hands on site experience

- Experience in middle to large size process industry is a must

- Hands on experience of site work is a must

- Should have complete minimum 2 Green Filed projects of more than $ 20 Million

Technical Skill :

- Technical know and experience in Mineral processing system engineering to keep challenging the technical design of the project Should have sound experience of all disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation

- Should be aware of all construction methodology

- Good knowledge of the heavy industry (iron & steel, metallurgy, lime, cement - )
