Summary of the Position : An ideal broadcast project manager should possess experience in digital and broadcast media. He should be able to plan, budget, control, lead team , oversee and document all aspects of the specific project.

Role Responsibility :

- Work with the 'business or product owner' and stakeholders to agree on the project objectives.

- Determine and define project scope and objectives

- Ensure the project backlog (objectives) is captured, prioritized and delivered by the Project team.

- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

- Track project costs to meet budget

- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

- Monitor progress and adjust as needed

- To lead and co-ordinate the scoping, technical requirements gathering, estimating and planning for single or multiple projects or work streams

- Apply sequential and agile project management techniques to make decisions, solve problems and ensure the quality of work done.

- Ensure shared clarity of scope, good estimating, solution development and management of risk and dependencies.

- Anticipate, manage and resolve issues, risks, dependencies and impediments that may impact on the delivery of the projects.

- Act as the first point of contact for all problems, obstacles and opportunities on a project. Issues could include supplier dependencies, infrastructure and operational capability.

- Work with the team to ensure that lead/cycle-times are captured and look at ways to reduce at every stage of the development process.

- Co-ordinate the work of the cross-discipline team to ensure that the investment of time and effort yield mutual benefits .

- Lead the cross-discipline team through discovery, delivery and continuous improvement.

- Be responsible for running the weekly process, handling escalated issues and dependencies across teams

- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

- Obtain the certificate of completion upon completion of the project.

The Ideal Candidate :

- Will need to demonstrate knowledge of agile software development methodologies and best practice from across the industry.

- Should have experience of managing projects from inception to delivery

- Demonstrable experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders

- Sound experience of digital delivery

- Some experience of working on, managing or leading projects successfully (including planning, problem-solving, managing risk and budget or resource responsibility).

- Working as a project manager will mean working in a variety of fields, from digital/ online to broadcast video/audio projects and departments.

- Proven ability to solve problems creatively

- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

- Excellent analytical skills

- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
