Project Manager - B2B FoodTech Startup

Our client is an R&D solutions company, specialising in food and nutrition helping brands create commercially viable food products. The entire gamut of solutions they offer includes everything from designing and developing an innovative product line, understanding its concept and ingredients, defining the regulatory and nutritional aspects, developing innovative and robust packaging, to eventually using technology to improve shelf-life while maintaining the quality of the food products.

The company is founded by an experienced Food Consultant, who in her 20+ years of corporate experience has created 100s of flavourful products working with the world's leading F&B Brand. The venture also boasts of a team with members who hold decades of experience across functions like manufacturing, nutrition, logistics, and food technology. With an enviable and diverse client base consisting of brands like Unilever and Britannia and fast-growing startups like Licious and Tasty Tales, the company surely has a market presence that cannot be ignored.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading project activities for delivering new product innovations in packaged food products as per clients brief, within agreed timelines.

What you will do:

- Being the key point of contact for the client on project related matters

- Being responsible of OTIF & FTR delivery of innovations, value improvement projects, and quality improvement projects, as requested by the clients

- Partnering with packaging developers, other functional team leads and members, and/or business delivery head, to deliver the innovations adhering to the highest standards of quality, both by design and by delivery, across the chain and also ensuring full compliance to the Legal and Regulatory norms, prevailing in the country

- Working with cross-functional teams, to identify suitable solutions and arriving at optimum specifications for FG, both on cost and performance terms

What you need to have:

- Qualification as a Food Scientist/Technologist/Engineer or Biotechnologist from any institute with reputation

- 4-5 years of hands-on experience in product development for NPD projects, margin improvement, and quality management of packaged food products in a reputed R&D setup/ Confectionery/ Food/ Beverages/ Functional foods

- Prior experience in leading product development projects end to end, from ideation to commercialization at factory scale

- High customer orientation

- Ability to bring out the best ideas for the benefit of the brand
