Therefore, we not only excel in International fund laws, but also bring in complete tax advice through our partners, needed to conclude a deal, holistically. We are a proud member of the Task Force on Capital markets, set up by the Financial Services Commission (FSC), Mauritius. Job Requirements: 1. Should be a CA/CFA with at least 4 years of experience in fund domain including FPIs AIFs and PMS. 2. Should have through knowledge of Indian Tax laws applicable to funds (AIFs, FPIs etc.), must have a good hand on legal & Regulatory landscape in India. Deep understanding of FPI regulations and compliances is a must. 3. Should be able to accurately comprehend, improvise a given transaction & able to execute the same independently. 4. Knowledge of FDI rules & regulations & RBI/FEMA laws is desirable. 5. Should have worked with a large fund house, AMC, or operations of an FPI. 6. Ability to handle different & complex transaction involving intermediation of several partners like law firms, tax firms etc. 7. Should be able to advice clients on their "India entry" including, but not limited to, advising on appropriate structures, jurisdictions, tax regulations etc. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leading a transaction and from a tax or structuring perspective and being in touch with the end clients for smoother execution. 2. Preparing "transaction notes" basis the calls or meetings with the client clearly articulating the proposed transaction, flows and other vital details needed. 3. Advising client on the deal from a structuring and regulatory perspective and ensuring timely consummation of the transaction. Keeping the clients abreast with latest regulatory, tax and other updates. 4. Accurately comprehend, improvise a given transaction & able to execute the same independently. 5. Advice clients on their "India entry" including, but not limited to, advising on appropriate structures, jurisdictions, tax regulations etc. 6. Liaison with multiple stake holders, Tax & law firms. 7. GAAR & POEM analysis of the funds being advised by us. 8. Work closely with compliance/legal & assisting them in drafting of legal documents, Offer documents, etc. Softer Aspects 1. Should be a go-getter & a task master. Should be willing to work in pressure situations & strict timelines. 2. Should be able to execute transaction on his/her own, with help from Senior members of the team. 3. Should be willing to work in a startup environment, where a lot more onus is on "ownership".
