Job Description:

- Directs and coordinates overall Production/Plant operations for the Extruded Dog Food processing at the Locations.

- Ensures that objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements.

- Delegates authority to key supervisors in production, production control methods, cost accounting, maintenance, and related operations.

- Directs all functions involved such as maintenance, manufacturing, production, purchasing, accounting, and administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Directs production and ensures cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.

- Responsibility includes finalizing Pet Food formulations and Raw material/ inventory management

- Developing various SKU'S, packaging, designing and rolling out production plan to meet the market demand.

- Adaptable and agility to learn and unlearn new technologies and "Technical Know How" to establish Allana pet Food business in the top slot.

- Conducting periodical trails at in-house Kennels to generate and substantiate data establishment to strengthen the brand at the marketplace.

- Identifying the right talent and grooming them to the next level, recruiting and developing manufacturing team

- Ensures timely dispatches by managing production site without any flaws

- Maintains plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.

- Prepares and submits operating reports to management to inform them of the current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Assures effective customer service and relations through timely delivery of quality product. Selects, trains, develops, and motivates manufacturing staff to maintain plant operation.

- Assures compliance of all plant operations with company policy, state, and local regulations. May set production and processing goals for plant.

- Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience in a Pet Food (Extruded Pet Food Production) processing plant.

- Education/qualifications: Engineering (Mechanical) from a reputed institute and an MBA from a premier business school.

- DIRECTLY RELATED work experience will be accepted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the educational requirement.
