Job Description : Looking to hire Project Logistics lead responsible from conception to execution within time frame. Experience in multi modal logistics with heavy equipment will be preferred

Client Details : Our Client is an Indian based MNC conglomerate with strong presence across the world and present in various sectors including energy, chemicals, oil and gas. They are looking to hire a Logistics Head for their Mumbai office.

Description :

Reporting to the Head Projects, you will be responsible for :

- Managing budgets relating to Logistics, including approval and designing of budgets

- Connecting with Logistics service providers in verticals of shipping lines, airlines, agents, CFS, transporters, freight forwarders and port authorities across the Western region

- Managing contract responsibilities including finalizing rates with various services such as Multimodal Logistics, Modular transportation, Vessel chartering, Break-bulk shipments, and Project shipments

- Initiating cost responsibilities for international logistics, road movement, movement from ports to plants and heavy lift road movements

- Working with port authorities, customs authorities, Maritime boards, Chartered engineers and marine warranty surveyors

- Actively understanding the market trends and scenarios for new service providers, market rates and information about ongoing projects in the industry

- Keeping updated about latest construction techniques, methodology and assessing the possibility of adoption in the current organization

- Maintaining standard documents, templates and formats to support departments for project specific requirements

Profile : Ideally you are an Engineer with MBA degree and 15-20 years of experience in Construction/Operations/Maintenance in Manufacturing in large corporate set ups. You have solid knowledge of cost management, Logistics, various professionals in the logistics space, service providers and documentation aspect of Logistics. You are curious about market trends, knowledge and have excellent communication as well as cross functional collaboration abilities. You have an excellent track record and are open to new challenges.
