Project Director - Specialty Chemical Firm

Our client is a speciality chemical MNC with multiple manufacturing facilities across India. They are currently looking for a Project Director to lead their Greenfield Project coming up in Dahej, Gujarat.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Head and managing a team of 10 - 12 direct reportees, you will be responsible for:

- Managing and delivering the Project including conceptual and detailed design and execution on-time, within scope and within budget.

- The overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

- Delivering on safety, legal, compliance requirement while ensuring that the company and the external Health and Safety and building regulations are adhered to throughout the project duration. External standards are continually changing and can require a high level of interpretation.

The ideal candidate must be a full-time engineer (BTech./BE) with at least 15 years of relevant experience in managing greenfield projects for the Chemical manufacturing industry (preferably in Gujarat and with MNCs), with capital involved approx. INR 2000 Mn or more. He/She must have knowledge about the local regulatory requirement and experience of dealing government authorities. He/She should have a strong orientation towards Sustainability/Green Energy initiatives.
