Program Manager - Scrum - As a Program Manager you will be a key part of our team that will define and develop products and experiences that transform education in India. We are looking for hands-on experts, who will be responsible for managing a host of technology projects that the team ventures into. This is an incredible opportunity to shape the product for the fastest growing education technology company right now, transforming education by integrating easy to use technology with a world-class curriculum for every student in India. - The ideal candidate should have overall 6+ years of experience of which should have worked for at least 3+ years as a Program Manager or Scrum Master and it should reflect against the various projects in the resume. - The resume should reflect the resource as a Scrum master (not as tester or developer). As a Scrum master the resource should have executed below responsibilities. Responsibilities : - Work independently with 2+ engineering team(s) to successfully deliver cross-functional projects (from inception to completion) that are of a high quality (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low defects, etc.). - Partner with technical managers to secure resources, scope technical efforts, set project priorities, milestones, and drive delivery to meet a deadline. - Able to transform raw thoughts into clear technical documentation and/or direction. - Keep the scope of engineering efforts under control and accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately. - Improve team processes that accelerate innovation, reduce costs, and/or improve quality. - Own the communication of project status. Regularly impart clear and concise summaries for the projects you own to your leadership/management team and are effective in answering questions in detail. - Follow the agile scrum process to organize and facilitate sprint ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint demos and retrospectives at the end of each sprint - Facilitate and participated in Sprint planning, design, and estimation. - Monitor the Sprint Burndown and conducted daily stand up, encouraging open communication in the team. - Facilitate the team to estimate story points and measure velocity to plan future sprints Skills And Qualifications : - 6+ years of technology work experience with 3+ years as program manager or scrum master in product or service-based companies, a mix of early and mature stage company experience is a plus. Experience in EdTech or learning companies is a big plus. - Education - Post graduate degree (MBA is preferred) - Experience with scrum techniques and hands-on understanding of the intricacies of managing work in a large technology team. Scrum certification would be preferred. - Technical understanding to work effectively with product team and engineers to decide on different SDLC paths - Effective decision maker and can help teams understand rationale and reasons for the decisions and roadmap direction - Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment - Self-starter, independent and excellent at driving teams and projects - Excellent communication skills at all levels small groups, large groups, and with executives Good to have : - Experience or keen interest in teaching - Experience or keen interest in education sector or social impact
