Program Manager - IT (1-10 yrs)
Key Purpose of the Job:
- The Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple software development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products, and working closely with the development team to ensure project goals are met.
- The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing software development programs, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software development methodologies.
Educational Qualification / Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with software development technologies and tools such as Java, .NET, SQL Server, and Git.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing requirements and priorities.
- PMP certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple software development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Work closely with development team members, stakeholders, and product managers to ensure project goals are met.
- Create and maintain project schedules, budget, and resource allocation plans.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, status reports, and risk mitigation plans.
- Manage project scope and ensure that project deliverables meet customer requirements.
- Conduct regular project meetings with stakeholders, development team members, and project sponsors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and escalate as necessary.
- Ensure that project deliverables adhere to quality standards, are thoroughly tested, and are appropriately documented.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the development team.
- Oversee the eCommerce development program, including overseeing burndown charts, vendor management and time sheet approvals to keep the development on track and within costs.
- Work on bringing efficiency into eCommerce teams operations by keeping close eye on the various business programs being run inside the team.
- Responsible for team costs and approvals as per budget
- Cost planning and budgeting for third party resources, licenses, and other costs within team
- Along with project/program management. Previous experience in P&L and cost management combined with exposure to software or online businesses will be added advantage.
