Job Responsibilities:
- Lead projects for cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a new feature, service, product, or system
- Determine and develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports
- Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, identify appropriate resources needed, assemble the right project team, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery
- Project management of overall development process including communicating goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams and partners
- Drive transformation agendas on setting up engineering KPIs, benchmarks, measurements and processes, ensuring appropriate governance mechanism
- Assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.
- Partner with stakeholders from product management, professional services and support to define business and product requirements for long term product roadmap
- Communicate, both verbally and in writing, program successes, failures, lessons learned and mitigation plans to stakeholders
- Create business cases to enable sign off from target stakeholders
- Drive cost-savings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive milestone readiness with the cross-functional teams
- Navigate through ambiguity and managing technical project delivery in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Resolution of intra team Dependencies
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience
- Technical Program manager requires strong technical skills and a solid understanding of software development methodologies
- Should have led programs for engineering functions - geographically distributed
- Should have agile project management experience with an iterative approach to managing software development projects that focuses on continuous releases and incorporating continuous feedback with every iteration
- Should have good knowledge and working experience in telecom (core network protocols)
- Must have strong familiarity with project management tools, methodologies & best practices. He/She also need proven ability to deliver projects according to agreed scope, timeline & budget
- Structured approach to work, with the ability to plan, and organize larger Projects/Programs
- Business & commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills are essential
- Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
- A good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills
- Be a good team player and an effective leader who is able to motivate their project team
- Experience with using Jira, Confluence & Microsoft Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project)
- Ability to build a sense of trust and rapport that crafts a comfortable and effective workplace
- Good understanding of Agile Development and release management processes
