About the client :

Our client is a large Engineering Services Outsourcing and Product Development IT services company offering services in engineering and design, product lifecycle management, manufacturing, product development, and IT service management to automotive and aerospace original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers

Role : Program Manager - Engine/Powertrain Design for an Engineering Services Outsourcing & Product Development

6 day working (Monday - Saturday)


Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in & guide the team for feasibility studies, product development phases like DFMEA, DFSS, PFMEA & Control Plan, APQP, Engineering Changes, and Technical Review


- Benchmarking, physical validation both bench and vehicle.


- Lead a team and delivering technical content of engine design and integration.


- Lead the Power System team and ensure deliver to the work exceeding customer expectation in terms of quality, timeliness, First time right,


- Foster culture of performance creativity and innovations and improve efficiency and productivity of team to achieve performance & profitability.


- Communicate with all stakeholders including customer to ensure employee engagement and customer satisfaction


- Developing Technology road map of the given domain aligning to customer strategy

- Identify and create values to customer in terms of managing Knowledge asset like documenting best practices, Lessons learnt, work guidelines, design rules, Knowledge documents, Patents, copy right etc.


- Competency enhancement of the team in the given domain by identifying the competency gaps (Domain, tool, functional and related skill) necessary to perform the activities. Based on the identified gap, training needs are arrived wrt individual development plan aligned to the customer strategy


- Drive towards results, performance, execution excellence


Desired profile


- BE/ BTech/ ME/ MTech mandatory and at least 15+ years work experience


- Should be expert in power system domain and mentor manger and team member technically.


- Expert in Engine architecture, concept to detail design, system selection, powertrain system engineering including aftertreatment area


- Expert in GD&T, DFSS, DFMEA, DVP, digital validation and integration


- Good in managing Team, Project, Engagement, conflict and customer


- Posses good communication, coaching and mentoring skills.


Note: This role will require to handle a large team comprising of Technical Lead/ Sr. Technical Leads, Engineers / Sr. Engineers
