Job Description

- Our global client for Startups is looking for a motivated Deal Flow Program Manager to join the corporate startup team. The role involves being the primary point of contact for startups; and evaluating, filtering and recruiting the best startups into our programs. This will include extensive interaction with startup communities in the MENA and SAARC region and requires the ability to build and maintain partnerships. In this role you will have the opportunity to help shape how Microsoft engages with startup enabling organizations (such as accelerators, incubators and investors) and the startups they support.

- The Deal Flow Manager role requires an understanding of emerging and scaling technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, AR/VR etc. and their applications across industries. The Deal Flow role is key to identifying fast growing startups early on and recruiting them on to Azure. It will require the candidate to successfully convey Microsoft's value proposition to startups and identify relevant opportunities within and outside the organization to help startups grow and raise funds.

- The role requires extensive collaboration with corporate teams in the US and Partner, Sales and Technology teams across subsidiaries in Middle East and South Asia. It will require the ability to customize global programs to fulfill local requirements; provide an opportunity to design and conceive new programs and set up and execute on strategic projects. We will also rely on your feedback to modify and augment global startup strategy.

- A successful candidate will have a consistent track record of non-technical program management, outstanding communications skills, an understanding of the startup landscape, attention to detail, organized and structured work ethic, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Build partnerships to get qualified startup into our programs

- Engage with partners, VC's and their portfolios to increase Azure penetration

- Represent our startup brand externally, socialize our startup messaging online, at events and through speaking engagements

- Evaluate startups on qualitative and quantitative parameters, and align startup recruitment to Microsoft strategic priorities

- Recruiting the best Series A funded startups on to ScaleUp program

- Channel startups to relevant Microsoft programs within and outside for Startups organization

- Enable startups through credit offers by managing and scaling our breadth engagement

- Lead and manage startup data & reporting

- Organize tech and non-tech events for startups to attend and engage with client. Also evaluating and prioritizing 3rd party event sponsorships to maximize visibility.

- Collaborating with multiple internal teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful data and actionable insights.

- Help define and execute programs and partnership and eco-system engagement tracking processes and tools.

- Tracking developments in the startup ecosystem and surfacing program relevant information

Required Qualifications :

- Experience taking end-to-end ownership of non-technical projects, from inception to planning, execution, learnings and iterations.

- Proven marketing communications skills in English, including proven experience in preparing written artifacts.

- Exceptional ability to create programs and processes to scale.

- Proven organizational and project management skills; ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrently while maintaining keen attention to detail

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams

- A high comfort level of working in a fast-paced, agile business environment.

- Strong interest in technology, startups, and innovation

- A belief that organizations and industries are best when they are diverse and inclusive, and a commitment to ensuring that everything we do reflects that belief.

- BS or BA degree.

Preferred Qualifications :

- 2+ years of experience working in a startup or startup/innovation enabling organization.

- 2+ years of experience as a business analyst across consulting, investment banking or venture capital

- 2+ years of experience in a program management role.

- MBA Degree
