Production - Cotton & Field Crop

a. To produce consistent high quality field crop seeds in a timely manner through effective production planning and within budget as per the market forecast. This is achieved through effective coordination with internal and external key customers.

i.Planning locationwise production, volume based on Sales needs for effective supply to seed conditioning plants.

ii. Confirming Parent Seed availability to the required volume of production for each crop.

iii. Allocation of variety based on produce ability of hybrid and supply needs.

iv. Confirming the Procurement rate of the produce (Seeds) baed on the locationwise competitor's activity.

v. To build and maintain appropriate systems and processes including SOPs for Field Crop Seed production.

vi. Finalizing the Procurement cost of each hybrid based on hybrid yield, income level to growers and competency level

vii. Finalization of Custom Processing

viii. To ensure effective monitoring during production / processing to achieve desired realization (landed cost).

ix. Planning and providing the fund requirements forecast to the finance department and coordinate disbursement process.

x. Finalizing the cost budget at each location

b. To develop and provide necessary MIS to the Management on the following areas:

i. Cost Budget report

ii. Procurement cost and proposals

iii. Estimation report

iv. Seed arrival report for crop hybrid wise

v. Updating of estimated yield deviation

c. To prescribe the required production protocols to get max possible produce ability with max

II. Processing - Field Crop

a.To ensure creation and proper up keeping of all the processing facilities including custom processing facilities so that the processing will be uninterrupted.

b. To build and maintain appropriate systems and processes, including SOPs for Field Crop Seed processing operations for sustainability and continuous improvement.

c. To ensure timely supply of commercial seeds and trial seeds supply with coordination of marketing and product development through logistics department in a cost effective manner.

d. To ensure that all consumables and spares are made available on time at lowest cost for maintenance and processing and packing.

e. To ensure timely processing data entry, validate through periodic stock audit of inventory, including packing materials and take necessary actions in consultation with Finance department.

f. To maintain the quality of stock of seeds through estabilishing and maintaining proper storing conditions, fumigation etc.

e. To ensure effective manpower utilization and also creating quality second line managers

iii. General Management

a.To ensure compliance with SOPs through timely and adequate documentation in all activities relating to production/ procurement in a periodic manner

b. To budget all the activities and control the cost within budget with coordination with Finance dept.

c. To provide timely support in attending market complaints and legal issues related to our seeds.

d. Develop and maintain good relations with Government officials to ensure any impediment is solved appropriately and quickly.

e. Ensure all critical talent is retained with active involvement in their career development process such as effective training, periodic counselling, effective and timely appraisal.

f. Benchmark against global best practices and implement them.
