Production Manager - Paper /Packaging

Overall planning, coordination and control of industrial processes. Facilitate smooth & efficient production of goods and services; right quality, quantity, cost, to the satisfaction of the customer, at the right price & time.

KRA :

- Production planning and scheduling.

- Overseeing the production process. Drawing up a production schedule.

- Ensuring that the production is cost effective.

- Making sure that product is produced on time and is of good quality. Working out the human and material resources needed.

- Drafting a timescale for the job.

- Estimating costs and setting the quality standards.

- Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed

- Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment.

- Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programs.

- Liaising among different departments, associates, vendors and if need with client.

- Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.

- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.

- Supervision and motivating a team of workers.

- Reviewing the performance of subordinates.

- To increase productivity in all machines by proper planning and better output without effecting the quality of the products.

- To minimize down time of all machinery/ auxiliaries by proper coordination & interaction with maintenance department continuously.

- Maintaining weekly Despatch Schedules and monitoring timely despatch of each consignment.

- Verifying offers for clients and workout cost of the product to be supplied.

- Planning of jobs for ensuring optimum machine utilization and timely deliveries.

- Preventive and regular maintenance of machines.

- Proper control on wastages and workers- efficiency.

- MIS reporting

- Any other assigned responsibility entrusted by senior / Management.

Qualification And Experience:

1. B.E with 8+ years of work experience in a manufacturing Paper/ Packaging Industry & machine operation

2. Must be capable of using judgment to plan and perform set ups and operate within standard procedures.

3. Ability to read and comprehend safety policies and regulations as well as basic product and process documentation.

4. Must be capable of using judgment to plan and perform setups and operate within standard procedures.

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. 6. Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus.

6. Proven Managerial and Administrative experience

7. Be knowledgeable about Safety, Quality & Productivity.

8. Computer literacy

9. Ability to create accountability and lead by example

10. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
