Product Manager

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager based in Bangalore to build our products and thereby further the impact we make on rural communities. This role involves building deep conceptual familiarity in rural value chains while leading the evolution of our product using design thinking, cutting edge technology and a data driven approach. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing products that can empower rural retailers, distributors, transporters and agents in the supply chain to perform better. The product and service will be deployed in low-resource environments where infrastructure and human capacity to consume technology is low. The application should be highly usable and performant, and should deliver significant value to its users.

Responsibilities:

- Understand users and markets through user and market research.

- Conceptualize and define products, and strategies to take these products to markets, based on vision that is supported by analysis.

- Specify crisp product features through careful analysis of business requirements, user needs and usability, and working closely with user experience designers, as required.

- Plan and manage product roadmaps, working closely with engineering teams in agile mode, to execute and deliver high quality products.

- Coordinate effectively with business development, operations and research teams to capture needs and constraints.

- Evangelize product with various stakeholders to gain adoption, while effectively managing their expectations.

- Evolve product using usability studies and data analysis to understand product performance both qualitatively and quantitatively.

Qualifications:

- Strong experience in defining and managing software products that work across both web and mobile interfaces.

- Experience in creating and launching commercially successful products (web and mobile applications).

- Ability to perform user research and analysis to understand users and their environments and constraints well by traveling to villages.

- Ability to strategize, analyze and specify requirements based on a vision, user understanding, business needs and market directions.

- Ability to effectively plan and manage work across multiple teams to deliver high quality products on time.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage expectations and prioritize tasks with a clear strategy in complex environments.

- Demonstrated capacity to think creatively and innovate. Ability to travel 10-15% of your time.
