Product Manager - Pesticides (7-11 yrs)
Product Development :
Export Business primarily being B to B,
1. New product Identification : The candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying potential molecules (post patent) to be developed by R&D and introduced in the exports market. He has to understand the current molecules in market, the gaps in control in key crops and what potential molecules can fill this gap, also considering the cost benefit analysis. After this, engage with R&D and manufacturing for feasibility of producing this product. Should be able to collect sufficient primary and secondary data to support the choice of the molecule for development. He should get the confidence of the sales team also on the identified molecule.
2. Product Development : Candidate is responsible for expanding the scope of use of existing molecules by identifying new formulations, combinations and label expansions (new use). For this, he needs to coordinate with various research agencies, watch competition etc. based on the identification work with R&D to develop the recipe, coordinate with registration team for data generation and work with sales team to commercialize the product. The candidate also needs to develop technical manual for existing products and also develop selling points (USPs) for the product range. Train the sales team wherever needed.
3. Coordination : Support the Regional sales team with necessary MIS on market information on competitor sales / activities, price and raw material trends in various markets and analytics on regional sales data. Provide necessary support to sales team for developing marketing plans.
4. Engage in Stewardship activity when and where necessary.
5. Closely work with exports head on business development.
