Product Manager - Medical Devices

- We are a leading Digital Products company, owned by an Indian Multinational conglomerate with a vision to transform India with the power of digital revolution. Digital Healthcare is one of the core focus area for us, where we also envision becoming a leading player in Medical Devices market in India.

- In this regard, we are looking for dynamic industry professionals with entrepreneurial mind-set and exposure to Medical Devices industry with Indian or Multinational companies. The candidate should have leadership qualities to discover, define and drive the initiatives for new product introduction (NPI).

Experience and Education :

- 8 - 16 years of experience with leading Indian and Multinational companies on Medical Devices Product Management with exposure to Design & Development, NPI processes, Medical Regulations. People with Medical Devices Product Marketing experience with excellent knowledge on Medical Devices NPI processes will also be preferred.

- MBA from Tier-1 or Tier-2 B-School with Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Post Graduation in Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology

Key Responsibilities:

- Innovation and idea generation for defining medical devices segments for consideration

- Envision the products across specific segments and develop market proposition to feed in the NPI funnel.

- Actively engage with Medical research companies and academic institutions to understand their research propositions and explore partnership opportunities to launch commercial products.

- Define detailed product proposition for shortlisted product ideas and create overall business case

- Work with engineering teams and our ecosystem partners to define and create the prototypes for products shortlisted for further consideration

- End to end ownership to drive the NPI process for few products or product category

- Generate ideas for value engineering to optimize the product design keeping in mind the ease of use and regulations as per medical industry

- Work with IoT teams for connected product features and data related services like analytics, reports, mobile apps etc. for medical devices

- Actively engage with sample set of target customers for medical devices to gather their feedback and needs on a regular basis.

- Support operations team in testing and user trials by detailed planning, overseeing execution, test result compilation and publication. Also closely work with Medical Devices certification team to help meet the regulatory requirements.

Desired Candidate Traits:

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Entrepreneurial mindset to generate ideas, own and drive things with focus on end outcome

- Experience on Indian Medical Devices Regulation - MDR 2017 and Amendment 2020.

- Experience on Medical Devices standards - ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and other like ISO 10993-1,10993-18, ISO-15223 (Preferred)

- Experience on Medical Diagnostic Devices (Preferred)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent presentation skills
