Product Manager - Kitchen furniture/ Laminate/ Kitchen Hardware

Position Summary - Conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, Market Segmentation and Marketing Strategy, Franchise Development, Promotional / Marcom Plan.

Key Areas of Responsibility : 

- Kitchen Business Short Term and Long Term Strategy - Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.

- Customer Insight / Segmentation and Marketing Strategy for B2C

- Inputs for Catalogue development - Work closely with Kitchen Designer

- Concept for Franchise development and Business Model

- Kitchen Business Marketing Mix / Display / Promotion / Architect / Interior Designer Engagement Plan

- Complete Kitchen Business / Pricing Model as per segment - Profitability Analysis

- Reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.

- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.

- Develops data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.

- Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.

Competencies : 

- Ability to create and develop product strategies and plans.

- Ability to develop marketing programs in collaboration with sales.

- Effective communication skills. You have to regularly communicate with people from other areas of the company - Sales, Marcom, Plant, SCM and Finance. These communications are the basis for product strategies.

- Skills to manage product release related activities including testing, preparing documentation, demos, product launches etc.

- Develop and manage pricing strategies for different categories - one of the crucial product manager skills.
