Product Manager - IT Hardware Industry (4-10 yrs)
Responsibilities:
- Analyse the competition and industry trend and identify opportunities
- Formulate the product strategy to build brand premium against the competition
- Build the product portfolio; select and customize products best suitable for the target segment
- Analyse competition communication and develop a best suited positioning strategy for every product with support from Marketing team
- Position and price each product correctly
- Ensure the message delivery of product strategy, product selling points, and price to sales team, marketing team, and channel customers
- Provide product improvement/differentiation suggestions to HQ
- Design margin structure and rebate programs within the budget limit to maximize channel/distribution partners- motivation
- Manage the promotion and price support budget; clear special price to strategic customers and design promotions to boost the sales
- Project accurate sales forecast and plan timely supply
- Plan new product launches and product transition
- Handle operational issues associated with business, including but not limited to, product issue, supply constraints, service issue, compliance issue, and regulatory changes
- Streamline and improve the process of supply chain management and minimize inventory risks and losses
- Negotiate the commercials with large accounts
- Coordinate with HQ to ensure best possible support/investment to India
- Analyse competition communication and develop best suited positioning strategy for every product with support from Marketing team
- Build and verify all marketing communication content pertaining to the product to consumers as well as channel partners
- Formulate detailed New Product Introduction plans with enrollment of cross functional teams and tightly manage activity timelines
- Conduct intensive engagement with consumers and channel partners to gain first hand market insights
- Support training team with content and inputs to create an effective training program
- Support distribution team on formulating an appropriate new product placement plan
- Coordinate with HQ to ensure best possible support/investment to India
- Drive, support, and participate in all strategic projects.
