Product Manager - IT (8-13 yrs)

Designation : Product Manager

Location : Chennai

Reporting to : VP Product Development (secondary reporting to VP Software Delivery)

Product Development (responsibility) :

Work with VP products to:

- Identify market opportunities either based on stated customer needs or based on perceived gap in workflow/technology

- Draft and recommend the concept and initial scope of products including outlining product specifications and requirements

- Assess market competitiveness of an existing or new products

- Wherever possible, work closely with a beta customer to refine product ideas

- Work with a product development team, comprising of UI technical staff, to develop product prototypes for review by

management team

- Develop detailed product use cases, post approval from management, and align those to development roadmap

- Determine and recommend product pricing model

- Determine marketing and sales strategies

- Provide information for the management to assess short term and long term product forecast (cost, revenue)

- Work closely with Product delivery organization to deliver the product against its roadmap

- Keep all stakeholders informed as necessary on the progress of Product development

Product Management (responsibility) :

Work with VP products and Development teams to:

- Manage product feedback, including enhancements and reported bugs

- Work with customers to assess their satisfaction and expectations from the product

- Prioritize product roadmap

- Work with Development team to implement product backlog

- Continue to assess market competitiveness of the product against changing competitive landscape as well as market expectations/ needs

Pre-Sales/ Sales Support (Responsibilities)

Manage the pre-sales process as a bid-manager by

- Defining milestones

- Assigning responsibilities for proposal development

- Tracking progress against milestone

- Owning the response document

- Liaise with internal teams to get necessary inputs for the proposal

- Liaise with customers for queries/clarifications

- Where possible be the pseudo-customer for the understanding of requirements by the internal teams
