Product Manager – Insurance, Global Bank

This position in Mumbai is a product specialist role, will be partnering both with the insurance companies as well as bank channels. We will want someone with experience in telecalling and direct sales experience in insurance coupled with bancassurance experience.

Job Title: Product Manager – Insurance

Business Unit/ Function: Insurance

Location: Mumbai

Basic Job Purpose

- The job involves ensuring that goals for the Insurance Business are met through cross selling of insurance products to bank customers.

- to this end, the job entails working closely with various stakeholders including business, operations, service and decision management teams and insurance partners, to meet business goals.

Dimensions of the Job

Driving Business Performance

- Liaising closely with business teams in driving general and life insurance business

- P&L Responsibility for the business

- Increasing insurance penetration in the assets’ segment

- Product and channel mix strategy and delivery

- Developing and leveraging on alternate channels

- Managing Renewal Retention Activity

- Business performance analysis including periodic reviews and analysis and Process Development

- Ensuring that the bank continually innovates and provides best in class products to its customers

- Preparation and maintenance of comprehensive Product Programs

- Process Design and Review

- Annual Insurance Partner Review and Due Diligence

- Setting up processes in conjunction with the various stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of the products

Product

Relationship Management with Insurance Companies

- Working closely with the insurers on products, processes, policy renewals and queries

Training & Development

- Creating simple, effective & innovative training modules

- Liaising closely with Insurers to ensure Training support for the business

Legal, Compliance and Service Quality

- Ensuring that processes are in line with the Legal & Compliance framework and as per Regulatory guidelines

- Regular interaction with customer service teams for Customer Query Resolution

Analytics

- Working with the decision management team to identify segments having the highest propensity to respond

Candidate Specifications

1. MBA with 5-7 years of experience in banking / financial services

2. Drive, passion and execution focus to over-deliver on expectations

3. Insurance experience and qualifications would be preferred
