Job Title : Product Manager  Department: Sales and Marketing  Location: Corporate Office, Bangalore  1. Scope of the job  Job purpose: To take care of all aspects of the brand performance, plan and organise the implement brand strategy to ensure the development of the brand  Key responsibilities :   - Implementation of Brand Plans  - Monitoring the performance of the brand in the market place:  - To constantly monitor the performance of brands in the market by monitoring market share, competition activity, through active interaction with Regional/Branch Sales team  - To obtain first hand feel of the brand performance in all focus markets through trade visits and interaction with trade and consumers  - Initiate consumer research wherever necessary to obtain consumer insights as an input to brand strategy.  - Brand equity building: Develop the communication strategy for brands when necessary, develop agency briefs and co-ordinate with agency on developing communication for various brands.  - Initiate pack change when necessary, writing the creative brief, co-ordinating with design agency, ensure label pre-test, manufacture liaison and label roll out.   - To constantly evolve ways to increase market share for each brand - assess the performance of such activity  - Act as matrix manager for a set of brands in a certain stipulated geographical area.  2. Business context  Reports to : Group Product Manager  Structure or context:   Key contacts : Internal: Deputy President Sales, Marketing & Operations  Head Marketing  Head Sales  Marketing Team  RSMs and Sales Team  Manufacturing Team  Legal :   External: Suppliers - including printers, system houses, Merchandising article suppliers, advertising agencies, Media houses and design consultants.  Measures to success :   - Performance of various brands in focus markets measured through volume and market share.   - Timely situation analysis and action through promotional interventions  - Develop adequate Market/Consumer Insight  - Maintain brand spends within specified limits.   Job holder profile :  Qualifications: MBA in Marketing from a premier Bschool.  Experience required: 2+ years  Job essentials: - Excellent communication skills  - Needs to have the ability to build an excellent rapport with all key contacts  - Analytical ability.  Language(s) required: - English: fluent
