Job Description :


- To create robust strategies for planning and managing the growth of products across different portfolios with regard to their crop-wise usage and sales (this is not a branding/communications role).


- Reporting to the National Marketing Head, this is an important strategic position for young product managers to amp up their careers with fast-tracked growth opportunity

Client Details :

Our client is leading agri-inputs company in India that specializes in plant nutrients, agro-chemicals, and speciality chemicals with a 1000+ member team working to increase the country's agricultural outputs utilizing their extensive rural distribution and partners.
 
Description :

- Take complete ownership of the assigned product category and leverage key skills to utilize the extensive rural channels to promote the products within India


- Lay out the strategy for product (Asset) and portfolio (crop) wise sales


- Create annual budgets for the function and ensure adherence to the same


- Lead the plan for all product wise sales of Assets in conjunction with the Branding and Advertising team and the Sales team


- Guide market insights lead on specifications of research needed for product strategy and GTM strategy


- Create customer value propositions according to market segments & present to leadership team


- Plan top and bottom line in collaboration with National Marketing Head for portfolio and Assets 


- Manage Marketing Budget for the Asset and Crop portfolio


- Liaison with Branding and Advertising Head to give an understanding on which products to emphasize on more than others & how and crop

Profile :

- 8 to 12 years of experience in managing the marketing of FMCG product categories in rural India


- Should have a Science degree with MBA in Marketing from a good institute


- Should have exposure of utilizing rural marketing in consumer space


- Should have exposure of the entire gamut of activities within product management- STP, market research, budgeting, sales planning, competitor analysis and 4Ps


- Understanding of agricultural products and markets is an added advantage


- Should have great communication skills with zeal for a fast-tracked career growth


- Good leadership skills and should be able to hire, engage and retain talent within his team


- Should be open to extensive traveling- even to agricultural/rural centres
