The company’s new business vertical in foreign trade – import/export of Agro-commodities has taken off with a substantial investment in infrastructure for the same. It is a long term need of the organization to create forward and backward integration with our expertise in trading in commodity exchanges globally. Our focus is to become one of the market leaders in the global supply chain of agricultural products by connecting producers and users of agricultural commodities through origination, processing, marketing, distribution capabilities and services.

We are currently looking for business development professionals who can define and execute the sales/marketing/branding strategy in terms of products and services to successfully position the business within the industry over the medium term.

We wish to invite talent having experience & expertise in Physical Trading (Import/Export) – Maize (Animal Feed) and ONLY those who desire to associate on a long-term basis, work with a sense of ownership and aim to create a strong brand equity for the company in the International Markets.

Remuneration: Maximum in hand salary would be Rs 60K per month

Job Description:

Responsible for creating a strong brand presence of BLB products and trade (import/export) capabilities among the target audience in the International Market for Maize (Animal Feed). Achieving monthly sales targets by creating an effective customer base for international trade.

- Identifying trade opportunities and responsible for meeting export targets for Maize (Animal Feed).

- Proactive in lead generation and self-motivated to use online/offline channels for ensuring head product sales (volume, prices, and margins) meet or exceed budget objectives.

- Target effective sourcing & negotiating contracts, establish sustainable long term supply channels with retail, institutional customers, brokers, agencies etc in international markets for Maize (Animal Feed).

- Run strong international promotional campaigns (attend trade exhibitions etc.) to build brand awareness and meet sales targets for Maize (Animal Feed).

- Monitor and build association with commodity exchanges/trade associations to promote effective sales.

- Plan and forecast customer needs and price advantages to maximize margins and volumes for the product.

- Competition Analysis - Benchmarking all sales against competitors and implementation of best practices throughout the enterprise. Proactively monitor and analyze competitor activities and market dynamics. Where appropriate recommend and adjust short term commercial objectives accordingly.

- Implement effective risk management for activities like as purchase, sale, client orders, foreign exchange, business transactions, shipment, all related documentation, records, LCs, dealing with banks, payments, invoicing, etc. with all related follow up.

- Effective team management - Create and foster an entrepreneurial spirit within the organization to build an innovative culture towards customer and new business development.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in physical trading of Maize (Animal Feed). Ideally experience in BOTH sourcing and trading.

- Sound understanding of high-trade countries for this product.

- Strong understanding of fundamental demand/supply and technical product features. Well aware of quality parameters.

- Comes with an existing, strong sales network and expected to hit the ground running.

Qualification & Skill Set

- Masters in (Foreign Trade)/ (Int’l Business /Trade) / Int’l Marketing/ MBA is preferred.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Strong negotiation skills. Should be a deal closer.

- Adequate knowledge of related EXIM policy, regulatory laws, compliances, procedures and liaison with government bodies or institution related to exports /imports such as service tax, sales tax, excise matters, customs, DGFT, certification agencies, etc.
