Product Manager (Agri Company)   This is a role with a leading player in the Agriculture industry.. The Product Manager (cotton) will be responsible for the entire service line development, pricing and service package creation. He will be responsible for execution of on the ground marketing activities, supporting projects team in expansion activities and technical training.   The person will be required to build a comprehensive system to manage the PLC of Hybrids, through which the targeted market share is achieved in each key segments with most cost effective manner.  Key Responsibility:   SEGMENTATION & POSITIONING: Identify the existing & emerging segments to ensure the positioning of the right hybrids in right segments.  - PLC MANAGEMENT: To evaluate the product performance and document the product life cycle - Hybrid-wise plan & forecasting the need for replacement (customer feedback, sales growth, performance analysis in various geographies, process of re-launch with improvements, yearly review with the management on each product/Hybrid, differential promotional strategy)  - NEED ANALYSIS: Prepare market /Product Requirement Documents to capture the voice of customers; and to provide need analysis report to Product Development/R&D for setting Breeding Objectives  - MIS: To forecast market behavior through periodic Market Intelligence (market trends; competing brands and their market share, market strategies deployed by competitors) in relation to our product  - DEMAND ESTIMATION: Develop internal mechanism to evaluate the Region wise/Hybrid wise Demand Estimation/Sales Forecast  - CO-ORDINATION: To co-ordinate between PD, Sales, Production, Processing, Breeding, Finance to ensure smooth execution of Marketing plan  Desired Qualification:   - UG: B.Tech (Agriculture)   - PG: MBA/PGDM (Agri Business preferred) from a top B school in Agriculture marketing  - Experience in Commercial management.   - Should have knowledge of technology relating to the services offered   - Preferably have some kind of agriculture background (either professionally, education or on personal level)   Desired Experience:   - 5-10 years with agri companies.   Desired Competencies:   - Comfortable/ familiar to agri space   - Commercial orientation   - Strong Customer Orientation.   - Self-driven   - Good at communication, interpersonal skills & negotiation skills   - Ability to take independent responsibility   - Analytical Skill   - Innovation & Change   - The ability to work on tight deadlines   - Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment   - Ability to travel extensively .  Coimbatore is a nice city which is beautiful, serene and the cost of living is the lowest amongst many others so offers great quality of life.
