Product Head, SME LOANS

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. JOB PURPOSE:

- Responsible for overall SME product management including new product development, modifications to existing products, pricing, marketing intelligence, budgeting and achievement of yearly targets

- Individual also responsible for regular monitoring of SME product portfolio and development of sustainable growth strategies for SME business

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Identify opportunities in the market, along with SME sales and analytics team, to target SMEs, industries and sectors and sell suitable product offerings for them

- Review product data to ensure field force is kept up to date on new developments regarding our competitor products

- Report to top management about the product and its performance on a time to time basis

- Conduct training sessions about new products and also strengthen existing product information

- Identify the impact on P&L and take corrective measures by engaging different stakeholders

- Liaison with the IT team to ensure that the products are ready to be launched and readily available for field forces and customers

- Manage the product team members and also monitor specific employees on partial reporting basis during pilot or implementation phase of the product

- Build brand image and visibility among internal as well as external customers

- Develop and articulate business case (including ROI) and future roadmaps for SME products and ensure smooth roll out of products / enhancements

- Discuss new product proposition with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with risk, legal and other requirements

- Conduct branch visits and limited customer meetings to understand growth drivers for SME business

- Support development and maintenance of a framework to measure and monitor product portfolio performance

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

Educational Qualifications: MBA finance or CA

Relevant and total years of Experience: 10-12 years in finance industry with at least 6-8 years in managing product team of a top tier bank/ NBFC/ fintechs in India
