ABOUT THE COMPANY

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Manager - product development, you're expected to develop products from conception until brand image for delivering best-in-class products to our clients in a time-efficient manner. You need to be an expert in development of athleisure (including high performance), lingerie, shapewear, swimwear and sleepwear products.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage styles from sketch hand-off to Pre-Production and ensure OTIFs and cost accuracy.

2. Complete and manage style BOMs, fit comments, and tech packs; maintain data integrity for design aesthetic, cost, and construction engineering

3. Build product lines suitable for pre-approved raw material libraries and factories

4. Manage product development to ensure cost parameters, quality, and design intentions are achieved. Standardize and harmonize rates on production wastage, material transportation costs, etc.

5. Organize daily workflow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelines

6. Establish processes for production execution, participate in pre-production meetings with teams, troubleshoot quality issues, and guide manufacturers to develop solutions and establish action plans.

7. Review style details & tech pack (Product Development Budget) and sign off for the pre-production samples.

8. Manage and Handle fitting sessions to oversee all the sample fitting for the business to maintain the highest quality & integrity.

9. Ensure construction and consistency across product classes according to established brand guidelines

10. Partners with cross-functional peers to optimize the product through client insights

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

1. 10+ years of industry experience in Product Development specifically in performance and ready-to-wear knit product in top global brands (Nike, Puma, Amante) or manufacturing units (MAS, Brandix etc)

2. A degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, and Product Development, preferably from NIFT or equivalent

3. Previous working experience in apparel manufacturing, preferably in lingerie, Activewear, Sleepwear & Shapewear

4. Proficient & Skilled with the technical knowledge of pattern making in both (manual & CAD) with sampling and production support.

5. Strong understanding of cross-functional team accountabilities and requirements; including close working relationships with design, raw materials, quality assurance, and merchandising.

6. Extensive and excellent knowledge in the production process, fit, fabrics, garment construction, manufacturing engineering

7. Experience working with vendors in China, India and Southeast Asia would be an added advantage
