Product Control Role - Financial Industry - Big4 (3-6 yrs)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business:
- Be part of Product Control team covering various product categories and regions. (Asset classes: FX/FXO, Rates, Fixed Income, Credit, Commodities, Treasury etc.)
- Ensure appropriate controls and reviews are maintained for Daily P&L production, Core reconciliations, Month end close and BSS.
- Ensure the teams are performing timely lockdown of daily and monthly P&L.
- Review monthly/quarterly balance sheet, with substantiation and potential financial exposure.
Controls:
- Develop and maintain appropriate policies and procedures which ensure the accounting, management and financial reporting integrity of the trading desks' balance sheet and P&L.
- Responsible for designing, building and maintaining a robust control environment in respect of daily P&L reporting, P&L attribution and balance sheet substantiation
- Research market best practices and keep abreast of the evolving issues that affect the valuation of the FM business.
Desired Skills:
- Core Product Control with financial market product knowledge (Fixed Income product - Bonds, FX, Options, Derivatives). Knowledge on accounting, PnL attribution, valuation, UAT testing as there is a system migration to GPTM.
