Job description:

Role background:

- The Practice Leader (Cloud) is a key role in the Prodapt organization's Delivery team, responsible for directly interfacing with large clients in a global setting. This specific role is focused on engaging client leaders and executives on their cloud strategy.

- The role requires a mature, highly experienced techno-managerial skill set with strong history of executing cloud centric use cases, such as migration, cloud-native application design, delivery and orchestration. The incumbent is expected to have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- The incumbent is expected to be expertly skilled at engaging clients, thought leadership in cloud technology and be able to understand client requirements, manage teams and internal stakeholders for delivery, and lead the certification activities around public cloud.

Mandatory credentials :

The incumbent is expected to have the following mandatory credentials:

- A total of 10 or more years of work experience, with at 4 years in cloud-centric projects and programs.

- Strong abilities in connecting, interacting with and managing C-level and other senior client leaders

- Expert level understanding of cloud technologies and paradigms such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless, virtualization and containerization

- Excellent understanding of common cloud use cases such as storage, compute, orchestration, in domains such as data management, AI, machine learning and analytics, software defined networking, network virtualization, etc.

- The ability to uncover opportunities for cloudification of applications and challenge the status quo of application engineering in different contexts

- Capable of understanding nuances and business-specific details from client interactions and sensitizing the Prodapt stakeholders to fine-grained needs of clients

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and lead conversations internally and confidently engage client stakeholders

- Growth mindset with an ability to inspire fellow team members

- Comfortable with unstructured work situations and able to bring structure and clear organization to work with excellent communication skills

- Experience working in globally distributed teams is required

The following credentials are good-to-have:

1. A sound understanding of projects, programs, processes and strategy in telecommunications industries

2. Advanced cloud engineering skills through certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc

3. Direct experience in cloud-native solution engineering (back-end, front-end, databases) or a full-stack capability for cloud-scale engineering

4. Experience in scoping and envisioning medium-to-large scale projects and programs for telecom industry projects, will be highly valued

5. Publications in the areas of telecom industry, cloud technology and cloud-native solution engineering will be viewed favorably

Educational credentials:

1. Bachelors or Masters in an Engineering stream is required

2. Cloud-specific certifications and/or credentials in project management are required

3. Relevant certifications and/or credentials in telecommunications, virtualization, big data analytics, data science, machine learning or artificial intelligence are viewed favourably
