Job Title : Manager, Procurement

Job Location:- Goa

General Summary :


- Develop and execute plans derived from the strategic plan to maximize Procurement process effectiveness and velocity in the supply chain. Lead initiatives to improve service, including replenishment initiatives and processes. Coordinate cross-functional exchange of ideas and development throughout the CommScope supply chain.


- Provide direction and leadership to stakeholders, both internal and external, in continuous improvement initiatives.


- Develop and execute plans derived from the strategic plan to maximize Procurement process effectiveness and velocity in the supply chain. Lead initiatives to improve service, including replenishment initiatives and processes.


- Coordinate cross-functional exchange of ideas and development throughout the CommScope supply chain. Provide direction and leadership to stakeholders, both internal and external, in continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement deliverables to improve and maintain processes and systems to continuously improve service and efficiencies in the supply chain.

- Lead initiatives that require coordination with Vendors, Operations, Distribution, and Transportation to establish a cost effective supply network that insures the proper level of inventories without impacting customer service.

- Direct and support the supply chain initiatives of JIT/VMI/Kanban.

- Develop a plan to drive structural improvement in cost competitiveness and capability of the Supplier network.

- Direct the control processes including measurement of key performance indicators and recommended actions over the supply chain.

- Direct staff and other resources in the selection and management of supply chain projects.

- Travel required.

Qualification : Preferably Bachelors degree in Engineering with Business Administration or a related technical field.

Experience : Preferably 15 years experience with preferably ten years Managerial experience in supply chain business processes and project management with exposure to world class processes and systems.

Skills Required :

- Strong PC skills required (MS Office, MS Project) and SAP

- Ability to lead cross-functional and supplier facing initiatives with measurable results

- Ability to effectively present ideas to an individual or group utilizing appropriate delivery styles and methods of communication to gain agreement or acceptance

- Ability to analyze information and provide fact-based recommendations

- Self starter, high level of personal initiative and accountability. Innovative, creative, motivating and inspiring individual with an ability to lead and direct a talented team.

- Strong negotiation skills

- Legal and contract knowledge

- Proven experience in management of JIT/VMI programs

- Candidates from Automotive or White Goods ( TVs, Refrigerators etc ) background preferred.

This particular role requires strong experience in managing and sourcing injection molded components and assemblies . Exposure to racks/ enclosures is an added advantage
