Procurement Head/Specialist - Fruits/Vegetables/Pulses

The Procurement Specialist will serve as the key technical lead in select commodities. S/he will lead technical and field-based activities including value chain development, market linkages private sector engagement and capacity building support. The Specialist will report directly to the CEO. She/He will supervise the overall operations, and provide oversight and direction. The commodity segment selected are: Fruits & Vegetable, Pulses & Food-grains, Spices, Oilseed, Fisheries.

Some of the responsibilities include - 

- Lead the Commodity vertical taking prime responsibility across functions for establishing and incubating Producer Enterprises

- Establish strong business models around assigned commodities and building execution capabilities for the same

- Developing frameworks for opportunity identification, shortlisting, and guidelines for preparation of Business Proposals and Detailed Project Report

- Provide technical leadership for the design, formalization, and management of private sector partnerships (PPPs).

- Lead end to end operations for a particular commodity with key focus on P&L of producer enterprises including project development, appraisal, production, certification, procurement, purchase, trading and exports.

- Must be exposed to mandi operations & farmer incumbent.
